Renée Rilexie’s work is inspired by music and sound frequency. Her sensitivity to sound led her to research and understand her form of synaesthesia and the function of the brain.
 

Her art practices are all sensory based, whether it be painting, sculptures or art installation. She is always very keen for audiences to engage and interact with her work.

For her, creating becomes even more complex when trying to bring together different threads of her life: her profound connection to sound and colours, her path in shamanism and drumming and questions about identity, divinity and purpose.

Renée has special interests in the healing power of sound frequency, the drum of the heartbeat, the practice of silence and the power of art to promote personal transformation.
