Fashion designer (and lawyer) ephi.habesha began designing about 5 years ago. She is part of a collective called Siqo (a Wolit word meaning ‘we work with love together’). The collective is based in the Shero Meda area, a local market place in Addis Ababa that is renowned for locally hand woven cotton attire and cultural clothes.

Her personal design style draws heavily on Ethiopian culture, traditional techniques and systems. Her overarching goal is to promote the local fashion industry and raise awareness about Ethiopian cultural clothes.
